WCG Day 1 Updates

After a long, hard, tedious day, we're extremely proud to announce that

Etny.XTC have been crowned Champions of WCG National Finals for DotA Allstars!

On the way to the finals, they walked-over

fAzeTheMusic.CGC and took down

Team Little. On the other side of the brackets,

GWSG | Axis.RSC managed to overcome the odds and beat

Kingsurf.sg in the semi-finals to make it to the finals.

It was a nail-biting finals as the game came down to the wire in the final 10 minutes of the game between

Etny.XTC and

GWSG | Axis.RSC. With both sides close to defeat, our boys managed to win by the slightest of margins. As the World Tree of

GWSG | Axis.RSC went down, the crowd went ecstatic as one of the closest WCG National Finals ended.

Quarter-finals:

Etny.XTC > fAzeTheMusic.CGC (Walkover)

Semi-finals:

Etny.XTC > Team [L]ittle

Finals:

Etny.XTC > GWSG | Axis.RSC

Statement from the cute manager, Lionel 'hammy' Lee:

"To be honest, we really wanted to win and it showed up during the final game, especially when our throne was so low on HP, but we never gave up and held on till the end. The euphoria overwhelmed us after the game and you HAD to be there to experience it. I wouldn't say we trained A LOT, but we by careful management time and fruitful trainings, we still managed to do what all the other teams could not. Attain the CHAMPIONSHIP."

With that, they have earned the rights to represent Singapore in the Asian Cyber Championships which will begin tomorrow! They will be in action as early as 10am tomorrow morning so if you want to catch them, do come down early!
